Styles I teach

  • HATHA

This is yoga as it is! This is a traditional style of holding static yoga poses. Using mudra - bandha - pranayama & meditation as a primary focus. Contrary to Western belief, Hatha is not a gentle form but is different from other flow styles of yoga. Here the practitioner moves at a slower pace and engages in poses (beginner to advanced), depending on his needs. This is for you if you’re someone who likes a slower approach and exploring your body’s capacity by first prepping it up and also if you like the traditional approach. In my Hatha sessions, you can expect a combination of standing, seated, balancing, and floor-based poses working on specific body parts and preparing it for a peak pose. Big emphasis on the mudras & bandhas.

  • VINYASA

This is a flow style of yoga where you move from one pose to the other, linking movement to breath. Here the practitioner stays in each pose for about 1 to 3 breaths, which is shorter than traditional Yoga. This is for you if you’re someone who gets restless staying in a pose for a longer duration. Also if you're someone who finds it difficult to concentrate, you might prefer a seamless yoga flow to keep you engaged. In my vinyasa sessions, you can explore slower flows and savor each moment Or you can also choose to tone up the intensity and explore a power flow.

  • ASHTANGA

This is a dynamic style of performing a fixed set of poses in a sequential order. Connecting movement with breath, this style incorporates drishti as one of the primary focuses. This is for you if you’re someone who likes discipline and prefers to follow the same routine every day. In my Ashtanga sessions, you can expect to be guided traditionally. However, many options and modifications will be provided to include all levels.

  • YIN

This is a slow-paced yoga using primarily floor-based poses. The primary focus of this style is to stretch the deeper fascia and work on energy meridians. In this style, you will use props like bolsters & pillows and stay in a pose for a longer duration, somewhere between 3 to 7 mins. This is for you, if you’re someone who wants to work on calming your senses become comfortable with stillness. In my Yin sessions, you’ll be guided in the traditional Chinese medicine method, where you’ll explore the meridian channels. Also, if you choose to work on your Chakras; you can explore my Chakra-Yin sessions where we work with the subtle-energy body, exploring visualization, meditation & Chanting.

  • YOGA NIDRA

This is a practice of meditation performed while lying down. Translated as yogic or psychic sleep, the practitioner here enters a deeper state of conscious relaxation, which you would ideally achieve while sleeping and yet being fully aware of it. This is different from other relaxing techniques, here you’re using visualization techniques and awakening the body parts while simultaneously relaxing them. It’s a practice of cultivating awareness and withdrawal of the senses. To gain full benefits of yoga Nidra, it is advised to perform full hour-long sessions of the practice.

  • PRANAYAMA & MEDITATION

Pranyama translates to elongating your life force. Pranayama is a powerful practice of breathwork where many techniques are used considering the individual's needs. Regular practice of breathwork can help calm the nervous system down, reduce anxiety & stress, build up the capacity of the lungs, improve the quality of your sleep, and cultivate mindfulness. In my meditation sessions, you will explore the traditional way of starting with Dharana- concentration and also the contemporary way of guided meditations. I provide guidance and tools to explore meditation, however; this is something that can not be taught from top to bottom. A state of meditation is reached only through regular practice by the practitioner.

  • SOUND & REIKI HEALING

Sound Healing is a powerful therapy that combines different healing sounds, music, and sound healing instruments to improve your well-being that heal you on a cellular level. I use various instruments like the crystal singing bowls, tibetan bowls and the Gong to create beautiful soundscapes for you. Sound healing can also be to cleanse homes and offices to clear off any negative energies residing in your space.

I am aslo level 1&2 Reiki practitioner and often use reiki with my sound healing. Reiki is a japanese healing technique where we use the universal energy field to heal the client.
